Our trip to Atlanta, GA
(March 31- April 4, 2005)

As most of you probably know, we are thinking and praying about working in the Ukraine after Tomasz graduates from seminary. Our vision (as it is right now) is to help one of the Lutheran denominations there to start a healthy youth ministry. We might also be helping that church with other things, but right now, this is what we are planning and preparing for.

As part of our preparation, we went to a Sonlife youth ministry seminar. We both really enjoy Solife trainings and are excited to be able to put to use what we learn. At the last seminar, we asked one of the leaders if they had any people connected to Sonlife working in the Ukraine. We were told there is one couple getting ready to move to the Ukraine soon. Their names are Jay and Cameron Hughes and they will be working with Josiah Venture.

We were excited to hear that. We were able to get in touch with Jay and Cameron and we were also able to travel to Atlanta, GA to meet with them. We both (Tomasz and Miriam) learned so much from Jay and Cameron and it was also really encouraging to hear their story and see how God is working in their lives, making it possible for them to go serve young people in the Ukraine.

After meeting with Jay and Cameron, we both (Tomasz and Miriam) now have a lot of new things to think about. We are also excited to know that if we move to the Ukraine after Tomasz is done with his internship, we will already have friends there. :)
